Prague
Prague

The Velvet Revolution of 1989 lifted the Soviet’s Iron Curtain off of Eastern Europe and opened up a city untouched by decades of capitalism and Western influence. Escaping the destruction and devastation of both World Wars, Prague offers a unique glimpse into ‘Old Europe’ like none other on the continent.

Inquisitive travelers set their sights on this fantasy world, curious to find what hidden gems lay behind the once impenetrable shield of Communism.  Perhaps the best ways to see the moderntale of this Old World city is through its hotels and accommodations, which add all the amenities of present day to the antiquated architecture of yesteryear. While today Prague is in the fast lane toward jetset status, its old world charm and historical influence are still in the driver seat.

The transition from past to present is always apparent within the city limits, thanks largely to a local community who embraces two worlds in one. While the vibrant youth population presses the boundaries of their city’s antiquities, the old guard’s history never goes unnoticed. In such a city of contrast, a refined night of Opera at the theatre house is as good a representation of the Czech culture as a revitalizing, street corner snack after a nightlong party of underground raves.

From food & dining to entertainment, there is always an invigorated pulse in the air that can only be described as revolutionary.  Be it the heavy taste of goulash lightened by a refreshing Czech pilsner or a relentless nightlife whose bumping intensity rivals any club in Europe, the pulse of Prague is always in your face. No matter what you’re after, the answer is simple: book the next flight to experience a world at its most dynamic time and check out a little bit of Red in a post-Cold War era.
