What is the best way to get from NYC to Montreal?
Asked by mikenobi - 444 days ago.
Accepted Answer:
i used to go to montreal once a year for school...we drove every time. took 87 and never had a problem. also, my neighbors are from there and go up almost every weekend...they take 87. beware of: weekend traffic to the catskills...87 can sometimes be a mess if you leave at prime weekend-trip time. also be careful if you have any foreigners in the car. we had one who had her passport but was missing her home-country ID and they gave her shit. another friend was once sent home because the border wouldn't let him in. border patrol to the north isn't a breeze.

I would say driving.
If you have a few people it's gonna be really cheap and from new york city the ride will only be about 6 1/2 hours.
